Poems SHYLY

SHYLY

a smile protrudes

from a joke I uttered

and the confidence did rise in me

happiness did fill in me

was this a conquer of the heart

detailing us to be one and a we

with courage and no fear of the people

as we were at the market

took the hand and held it strongly

no reaction from the other

wholesome it was accepted

well if this was not a positive sign

of us being the new lovebirds in town

in this February heat

what was it
