you see
It was the best we could offer
to be our better version
but it was not enough
It was small to you
not as per your standards
and to little to me to match the energy
was there any other option
none
so it was each to their own ways
to be at terms with it
that every beginning has an end
and people have to forge an individual path
that leads them to where peace is
so we parted ways
from lovers to no definition
of if whether friends or just strangers
